  Have not tried many Caribbean places in JAX, perhaps that is because this was the first, when you know something is good and legit, there's not much need to search for anything else.
  Great rice and beans that brings back memories from Puerto Rico (even though the place is Dominican) and their goat stew is my favourite here. Add some tostones to your order and ask for mayo-ketchup, it makes a great combination!

  This restaurant has very good food but bad customer service!! We arrived around 1:50pm, ordered our food around 1:57pm, 2:30pm came I noticed we had not received our food yet.. I asked the waitress what was taking so long? She went in the back to check with the cook only to come back to tell us that our ticket was misplaced and they were making the Order now.. I noticed it was 2:56 and all the customers who came after us were eating the same this we ordered and I was wondering why wouldn't they just give those meals to us if we were there first but instead they made us wait! So we decided to leave around 3:10pm I notified the other waitress to let our waitress know that we were leaving.. our waitress came outside. I thought she would try to convince us to stay but instead she asked what about paying for the sweet tea that we ordered?!?! I informed her that we have been waiting for about hour and a half and she expect me to pay for a sweet tea?? She just went back inside, never apologized or anything..

  Delicious food. I was recently in PR where I tried mofongo for the first time. This restaurant is Dominican and their mofongo is delicious but was heavier on the garlic than I anticipated. I also was charged more than the menu price because the original menu I received was not updated and the new menu had changed. So that was a tad disappointing, but overall a decent place for Caribbean food.

  Overall very good, authentic food. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Biggest drawback for me is that soft drinks are by the can with no refills. In the future will probably order take out only.

  Totally happy with the price and the quality of the food. The people working here are real Hispanics and the food was not Americanized. Believe me, their Spanish was far better than English.
