  I was initially surprised why a Panera could have such bad reviews. Once I started ordering it became pretty clear. They had a kiosk for self orders. Me being me figured that I could save some time for both myself and the cashier decided to order it myself. I had done the ordering, when I realized that the machine needed me to punch in a pager number.There were no pagers available on any of the kiosks. Strike 1. I approached a cashier and ordered an almond milk caramel latte for there. I ended up getting cafe latte in a to-do cup. I didn't see any remorse when I told about the mistake. Haven't seen any Panera bread location that left a bad taste in my mouth.

  We eat here regularly and order the same thing each time and have always had great service and fresh food. Last night, however, was deplorable. My wife's order was completely wrong (lukewarm chili, they forgot the onions that she ordered, the sandwich was on ICE COLD, dried out bread, and they neglected to put the sauce on her sandwich, so it was extra dry). Mistakes happen-- no real biggie. She went to the window, nicely let the gentleman know, and asked if they could correct it. He threw his hands in the air and stated that it would "come out the same way" if he made it again, with an I-don't-care smirk on his face. She then asked for a manager. His reply was, "She will say the same thing." Manager came out, did not apologize for how my wife was spoken to, mockingly asked if my wife would like to "feel the bread" before she made her a fresh sandwich, did not offer anything for the inconvenience. Then she brought my wife another plate that was no different than the first one--messed the order up again. No apology or customer service--just a blank stare. When I intervened to let the manager know that I was taken aback by our treatment and the lack of care to correct my wife's order, she did refund our money but begrudgingly. Very disappointed.
