  Looking for nice Brunch . Working in Jacksonville for last 3 weeks finally decided to venture out and explore the city. Decided to Google the top 5 places to do brunch. This place was right there on top. I was expecting something a little more upscale, kind of a hole in the wall. Decided to stay anyway because of the reviews. Food was great and so was the service. Had fried green tomatoes and Charleston shrimp and grits. Oh, so good. If you're looking for fancy probably not the place for you. If your looking for good food and service, it's perfect. Have it a because not enough parking and could use a little touch up.

  Came here with hubby as we are frequent DDD fans. I had the meatloaf which was delicious: the extra step to grill it and give the outside some added crunchiness really made it unique. The gravy on the meatloaf was exceptional and you could tell it was homemade. Hubby got the Pittsburgh steak salad which he truly enjoyed. Where else can you get a salad with prime rib and french fries on it?? We topped off our meals with the strawberry shortcake and were pleasantly surprised that the sauce was served hot. If we lived local to Metro Diner, I could see us coming at least once a week. You won't be sorry if you come here and will leave full and satisfied. We were also visited by the assistant manager after our meals who was very pleasant and told us about all the expansions going on with Metro. We wish you much success and hope you come to the Northeast.

  Overall experience was really nice. Staff was extremely friendly and service was extremely quick. Will definitely be getting the Charleston Shrimp and Grits again if I ever have the pleasure of returning.

  So I was craving a burger on Sunday, and earlier in the week I was craving my mom's grilled cheese sandwiches with a tomato in it like she used to make when I was a kid. I was surprised that I was able to get both in one yesterday. It was amazing I got full off of the first half of the sandwich and my husband took the other half today to work for breakfast and he told me it was sooooo good. I just had to write a review because while I worried that this could lead to a heart attack, we were in heaven! Food is pleasure, it made us so happy to have that sandwich. Just thought I would share and your waitress and staff are excellent. Anyone who rates you less than 5 stars is crazy, you all deserve 5 stars and more in my opinion!
